About the Dazed Dad

My name is Adam. I am the father of 3, 1 living. My wife and were expecting twin boys until her water broke on October 24, 2010. We were 19 weeks into our pregnancy. We had no choice other than to deliver our boys, and so Micah and Judah were born at 6:49am and 6:54am Monday, October 25th. They were both alive when born and we held them for a few hours before they passed away.

On December 30, 2011 we gave birth to our third son, Caleb Elijah, 8lbs 4oz. We are deeply in love with him and are experiencing all the things you’d expect from new parents of a newborn baby.

After we lost the twins, I used this space on Dazed Dad as a place to process through our grief journey and it’s been an incredibly helpful thing for me. Based on comments from readers, members of my church and complete strangers, I think it’s been a helpful space for others to read about our experience. Now that Caleb has entered our life, I imagine that the blog may transition from focusing solely on grief and loss, to parenting and other issues that a new dazed dad might be going through. I invite you to join me on this journey.

I’m also the author of Pomomusings.com, a blog that focuses on technology, theology and ministry, and a writer for #RunRevRun, a fitness, health and food site for those in ministry. Sarah and I have been married for 5 years and while she works on her PhD in Christian Spirituality, I’m the Associate Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, Oregon.
