I haven’t written much on Dazed Dad recently – but there’s been a lot going on with our family. We’ve moved from Ashland, Oregon; I start my job as Associate Pastor at Winnetka Presbyterian Church in Winnetka, Illinois tomorrow morning, and we just did a 3,000 mile, 10 day road trip with our family in two cars, an 19 month old toddler and our dog, Sadie. So, we’ve been busy.
But I also just starting blogging on the What to Expect website, on the “Word of Mom” blog (but it’s under the “Word of Dad” category; a little confusing, but it’s still pretty cool). You can see my first post, “When Toddlers Say the Cutest Things” here. Here is a brief section from the post:
But it’s a little freaky what he chooses to copy now. Just the other morning, my wife and I were in the kitchen while he ate his breakfast. I don’t even remember the content of our conversation, but at one point I said, rather loudly, “Jeez babe!”
Maybe a millisecond after I said it, Caleb looked up and in the exact same tone of voice, very clearly said, “Jeez babe!”
We’ve spent the past few days trying to get him to say it again, but he’s too smart for that. He’s no trained monkey.
He’s also been walking around the house with his finger up his nose a lot.
I have nothing more to say about that.
Anyway – it looks like they have some other fun bloggers writing on the site as well, so you should check them out here.
