I’m writing this post sitting in our OB/GYN’s office. Having twins, and having the experiences we’ve had so far in our pregnancy, I feel like we’ve been here so many times. And while I’m not quite the Mayor of Kaiser Livermore on Foursquare yet, it’s only a matter of time before I can oust the current mayor from the position.
We are lucky to have gotten a really great doctor, someone who is extremely knowledgable but also really helpful and we can tell that she cares about us and our babies. I’d like to say that’s the case for all Kaiser OB/GYNs at Kaiser, but we have run into some who aren’t that great. So we totally lucked out.
While it feels like a lot now, I know that we are only in for more and more appointments and check-ups and tests as we get closer to the birth of the twins. Thankfully we’ve been blessed with some very helpful and friendly people through this process.

At first look I was assuming this was taken in your laundry room or something and here were my thoughts “Wow. They have a really industrial-looking bill/mail sorter… and a poster of female anatomy, wow, they’re really into this whole pregnancy thing and being informed…” Then I read the first line, looked at the picture again, and felt a bit of relief.
